Vega
A brilliant blue-white star, overhead on summer evenings.
Vega is one corner of the Summer Triangle, with Deneb and Altair. It was the North Star about 12,000 years ago, and will be again in about 13,000 years, because Earth's axis slowly wobbles.

Vega was the first star other than the Sun to be photographed, in 1850.
